Well, it's been a while, hasn't it, boys and girls?
I am now living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. "What the fuck, Possum?" you ask. Yeah, well, I was the right age for a mid-life crisis but I couldn't afford the Ferrari, so I'm doing this instead.
BsAs is actually very cool, you just have to take it philosophically when things don't work like they do in the States. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Buenos Aires, don't go scheduling your day tightly, or you will give yourself grey hair. Everything here takes longer. When people say they'll come over at 2:00, they mean somewhere between 2:30 and tomorrow.
What is BsAs like? I really couldn't say yet, overall. This is a city of some 13 million people, within the greater metropolitan area, and thus far larger than my native San Diego. Given that there have only been two earthquakes within living memory, and the larger of the two was a piddling 3.2 the buildings are far taller than what you see in Southern California. But I still refuse to live above the 3rd floor, call it instinct or paranoia or whatever. I understand there do exist suburbs, out there somewhere. But from the roof of my hotel shortly after I arrived, it was tall buildings to the horizon, in all directions. Most sobering, for a varmint that grew up in East County, with the smell of horse apples on the breeze.
So, anyhow, I'm back in the saddle again. Older and greyer than before, but I'm out of the USA, and I don't plan to go back.

ReplyDeleteIt took some doing, but i welcome the jorney, despite dont wanting to reach my first and hopefully last stop of this kind, it really bother me the lack of effort to even pretend that you only reason to get that personal and agravated was a review on a game that you took personal, since you never played the games and did not knew basic facts like FREE-TO-PLAY and went directly on insulting the character as first and only option, on gamers that put around 50hours of gameplay and where fair,polite,clear and factual all around,gamers who dont get paid to do that, no incentive at all and yet do it right, there are few of those who even take the time to find these guys work because its not public, the bottom of a page where a sea of stupidity and yeling and then there i saw you and got this dumpsterfire of a blog filled with radioactive zombies, i dont know if you go to far pretending to be stupid or not far enough keep it inside, it makes no diference, you are a attention junkie, posing your "ugly truth defender" as noble and meanfull purpose, you go to any stranger receving praise for those beeing praised for their dedication to task that only a handfull will ever see and yet doing it right,no agenda of any kind, not even recognition or positive words of apreciation, and your go to move was to smear his motivation and character whe will never comunicate again but i felt like it would neglicent not to say something being that is against my nature to be part of a inactive/audience for a loud,stupid and horrible person making a scene just for the atention, well you got mine atention for a second, it was all you dream that would be? enjoy, i already forgot you callsign and after a good sleep that i am look foward to get if the smile on my face is any indication, i also not doing this for exposition or gratification, in fact if you dont exclude this whole message i may do it myself right after i am sure you read it, i only wanted to make you very aware that i am calling you on your bs, also reported your behavior with the same effort that you see now just because you deserve it, you are a bad person with a even worse attitude, i dont ask or believe that should or could change, but you can shut the ***((* up, that is not a treat, its a warning , it would be a polite one but you dont seen to grasp the concept also not worthy of that since i dont enjoy spend my imagination on activites i enjoy with people who are aways good to know they even exist, but you problably dont even understand the basic concept of not being a jerk as a option, so enjoy the atention and remenber to avoid said behavior on steam at least, we already set the dates with a reminder to check if you gonna need some stern incentive to not being a jerk, most people dont need incentive to dont act like a sociopath of the worst kind, and because i really believe that you are a idiot, take a second to consider all this i am doing for you and you alone then consider if i am bluffing about keeping tabs on any despicable spineless display, if the odds of me being bluffing on your math are not 0 then consider what i will do if words dont do the job and ponder if its worth the risk, because your choice will decide reaction, so its entirely up to you what comes next, remember that, it may be very important later, i am not asking anything that any normal person dont deserve or you cannot do, dont insult and attack people who dont deserve and you dont even know, i know many of them by their actions and character, its not hard to spot their style after you pay atention, there is few and far betwen and their number get only lower , also, very nice people, the last one that your behavior bring this reaction was even nice to you after you attack his character, i hope we never cross paths again but if we do,remenber, it will be on you and i will not enjoy whatever it may be, any displesure i have to endure to make you understand its will be return in kind.
